And, after all, it makes sense. The court system is adversarial, and there is always going to be a winner and a loser. And you will be bound by the court’s decision, whether you like it or not. But with mediation, you can work your way through all the difficult issues with the support of a trained mediator, and develop your own solution and agreement, one that works for you both and for your family, and hopefully is win-win. And because you’ve developed it together, you’ll both feel more inclined to abide by it, although it will also be approved by the court as part of your divorce hearing.
Surrey Mediation Service can help you with the initial mediation meeting, and provide a trained mediator to help you develop your agreement together. Their solicitors can also help with the necessary court proceedings for your divorce.
For more information, or to discuss your needs for mediation, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0330 111 0824 between9am and 8pm Monday to Friday, or 10am to 2pm Saturday.
